Quick info to obtain safe sport certification and background screening

Register for USA Hockey and obtain confirmation # - Turn in a copy of your USA Hockey Registration Confirmation to the AAHA office (office.aaha@gmail.com)

Do you need to do a background screening? Yes if you are a coach, member of the AAHA Board, locker room monitor, member of the Hockey Committee, Age Level Coordinator, Scheduler, Team Manager or Home Tournament Manager.  If you are unsure if you need a background screening, please contact Colleen in the AAHA office (office.aaha@gmail.com).   There is a $30 charge for the screening. Turn in a copy of your receipt to Colleen and you will be reimbursed. Complete your background check here:

This is for anyone with close contact and/or authority over minor athletes. Generally, penalty box, clock, gamesheets nor concessions will require a screen. (See Policy below)

**USA Hockey background check are good for 2 years. 

**SafeSport is NOW required every year.
