New to Hockey

Getting Started:

Hockey is a fun, fast-paced sport for all ages! Beginners can join Learn-to-Skate or Learn-to-Play programs to build confidence on the ice.

What to Expect:

• Practices focus on skating, stickhandling, and teamwork.
• Younger players start with non-competitive, fun-focused games.

Costs & Assistance:

Hockey programs include fees for ice time and gear. Please see the Rink Rookie program below.

Parent Tips:

• Arrive early (30 min) for practice to get geared up.
• Cheer positively and encourage your player to have fun!

Rink Rookie Program

This program is to encourage young boys and girls to try hockey. Boys and girls 8 and under and are eligible for the program for two seasons.  For a registration fee of $225.00 young skaters can join hockey. We also provide most of the equipment needed by your skater:

• Helmet           
• Breezers
• Skates (Limited Sizes)
• Shin Guards
• Shoulder Pads
• Elbow Pads
• Gloves
•  

Equipment Individual Players Must Provide

• Hockey Stick
• Socks
• Mouth Guard
• Cup/Pelvis Protector
